Did you know that you can build and develop your own resilience, grit and mental strength? Yes, really! Resilience is increasingly being seen in the research world as the key to success, health and happiness and the brilliant news is that, whilst some of it is down to genes, you can build it and strengthen it. You just need to focus on it. To make it important enough (because it is really important). And to seek help and support if you need it.

As a specialist in this area I'm going to share with you evidence based ways to build you resilience. Starting with this awesome TED talk on how we can grow new neurons. The video is only 12 minutes long and Neuroscientist Sandron Thuret talks about the research but also gives practical advice on how we can help our brains better perform neurogenesis on improving mood and increasing memory formation regardless of age. We should all definitely watch this TED TALK: How To Grow New Neurons
